Endpoint cloning duplicates your existing endpoint without changing any of its configurations. This is useful if you want to reuse an endpoint in another activity with just a few changes. You won’t have to go through creating a new endpoint from scratch. You can make your desired changes to one or more configurations in the cloned endpoint like changing the Request URL or modifying the Object properties.

An app created on Integry usually requires a lot of endpoints so that all the activities can function properly. So, cloning of endpoints is normally used quite often when an app is being created or modified. You can also use cloned endpoints to test out all the rough changes that you want to make in an activity endpoint.

Cloning an Endpoint

To clone an endpoint, just open any of your apps created on our platform and go to the Endpoints tab.

You’ll find all the endpoints created for that app in this tab. Click on the clone button in front of an endpoint of your choosing.

When you clone the endpoint, a new endpoint will appear in the endpoints’ list as shown below. A number will be appended at the end of the action name, to indicate that the endpoint is cloned.  A success message will also be displayed on the top.

You have the freedom to clone any endpoints of your choosing and there is no limit to the number of times you can clone.
